Walking with the Celtic Saints

This pilgrimage explores the lives and spirituality of the saints of the Celtic tradition who re-evangelized Northumbria in England in the 7th and 8th centuries: Saints Aidan and Cuthbert of Lindisfarne, Saint Hilda of Whitby and the Venerable Bede who chronicled the history of these saints only a few decades after their deaths.

The spirit of this Celtic outreach included rhythms of daily prayer, hospitality to all, and a deep connection to the Creator's beauty and power in creation. The wisdom of Aidan, Cuthbert, Hilda and others all speak into our individualistic and technological ways of thinking. Join us in pondering how Celtic simplicity and incarnational spirituality can be an antidote to the busyness of life that distances us from ourselves, from others, and from God and his creation.

The Enneagram can be a powerful tool for those who are called into the ministries of one-on-one soul care and guidance. It provides a non-judgmental lens through which we can look at our lives and relationships to God, self, and others. As a spiritual director, counselor or life/wellness coach, helping a person identify their number is only the beginning. This certificate program is designed for those with a working knowledge of the Enneagram and are wanting to go deeper into the use of this tool in their call and ministries.  Intro session on September 14 evening; then all other sessions are on the third Saturday of the month. Facilitated by Revs. Doug and Adele Calhoun, this certificate program is designed to instruct practitioners how to appropriately use the Enneagram as part of their ministry. This training program will help you learn:

• How your own type impacts your listening and guidance

• Spiritual practices appropriate to each number

• How to use the Harmony Triads in transformation

• How to use the Harmony Triads in discernment

• How to use the WEPSS (Wagner’s Enneagram Personality Style Spectrum) assessment for a one-on-one session.

Revs. Doug and Adele Calhoun are Motions of the Soul: iEnneagram Practitioners and certified trainers in the WEPSS. They bring hundreds of hours of experience in the use of this tool. They have taught seminars for church staff, individuals, and with national church leaders in various countries. They will draw on their book on the Enneagram entitled Spiritual Rhythms for the Enneagram: A Handbook for Harmony and Transformation.
